Dangerous Drowsy Driving
We've all been there, driving sleepy behind the wheel. Whether it's heading home late from work, a concert, or a game, driving tired is a common experience, but not a safe one. Drowsy driving slows our reaction time, reduces our attention on driving, and affects our ability to make safe decisions.
The CDC reports that 1 in 25 adult drivers have reported falling asleep behind the wheel in the last month and that around 6000 fatal accidents may be related to tired driving. More concerning, half of these accidents are related to tired drivers under the age of 25. Learn more about drowsy driving with this infographic from Sleep Education.org.
