It’s Website Wednesday
again! In keeping with the Monday blog about food allergies, today’s featured website is Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE). Food allergies are very common, and it’s often difficult for families to navigate reading labels, eating in restaurants, and ensuring kids stay safe in school. FARE helps with all of these challenges.
For families who are newly diagnosed, there is a special section that reviews the basics. The Food Allergy Field Guide is particularly good, as well as the emergency care plan which can be downloaded in English or Spanish. There is extensive education on reading labels for common allergens like peanuts and milk. There are resources for parents, kids, teens, college students, and adults.
Heading to summer camp or traveling? There’s information on how to do so safely with food allergies. There are resources for students who may be struggling with bullying because of their allergies.
If you (or someone you love) is new to food allergies, or if they’ve been living with them for many years visit FARE for resources, education, and support.
